and New Member Audition
Thank you for your interest in joining The Mellows for our performance of Joseph in May 2024.
Here is some information on the Director’s Presentation and New Member Auditions for the show.

Here are the details for the Presentation and New Member Auditions…
Director’s Presentation
Date & Time: Sunday 21st January 2024 at 6.30pm
Venue: Mellows HQ (The full address and map are in the info booklet).
The Presentation is an informal gathering where members and people interested in joining us, learn all about the next show, listen to some of the music from it and the production team will explain the fun they have planned for us.
New Member Auditions
Date & Time: Thursday 25th January at 7.30pm
Venue: Mellows HQ
As mentioned in the info booklet, if you’d like to perform on stage with us, then you will need to take part in the New Member Auditions.
At the audition, you will be asked to…
Sing a song of your own choosing.
This should preferably be from a musical and you should bring a backing track along with you. We will have a bluetooth speaker available if you want to connect and play the track from your phone. If you prefer a different method of playing your track though, please bring the correct equipment with you as we’d hate to not be able to play your track for you.
Read some dialogue.
This will be sent to you in advance so you can familiarise yourself with it. You do not have to learn the
piece though.
Perform some simple dance steps
These will be shown to you at your audition
We realise that some people are quite nervous at the thought of auditioning but we always do our best to make you feel at home and make it an enjoyable experience rather than a scary one.

If you’d like to come along to the Presentation and/or New Member Audition, then please send us a message to let us know. This helps us to make sure there’s enough space for everyone and enough time for the auditions.

Please note that there is the chance for a number of children to be included in this show but the minimum age we can accept is 7 years old at the time of the show (May 2024).
Dates for Joseph Show Week
Performances: Tuesday 14th to Saturday 18th May.
Evenings at 7.30pm plus a Saturday Matinee at 2.30pm.
Full Day Long Rehearsal: Sunday 5th May
Full day Technical Rehearsal: Sunday 12th May
